I made these two little matchbox memento-keepers for my very dearest friend for Mother's Day. She has twins, a boy and girl. Everyone who subscribes to my e-newsletter got the full detailed instructions for FREE- as part of celebrating National Scrapbooking MOnth all during May. If you'd like to get these instructions, or other project ideas and details on how to make them, sign up for my newsletter in the upper left corner of my blog.
Matchbox Memento Keeper for Hannah:
The photos themselves are only 1-3/4" X 2-3/8", to give you an idea of scale. And I added covered chipboard to the top and bottom, to give it a little more structural strength.
Memento Keeper for Aaron:
They were, of course, really fun to make- especially when it came to picking out the photos to use! And the drawer is big enough for baby teeth, a baby bracelet, a lock of hair - or lots of other small but precious trinkets. I left that for my friend to fill.
